We know that buying artwork via the Internet can seem a bit risky — after all, looking at photography on a computer monitor is just not the same as seeing a print directly in your hands. We want you to feel comfortable that our Special Editions meet your expectations. The only way to do this without any doubt whatsoever is to show you to your satisfaction — even if that means ridiculously priced samples to prove our merit.

Plus, there are some of you who might wonder about our enthusiasm for the Harman by Hahnemuhle Glossy Baryta (formerly Harman Glossy Fiberbase AL). We've said these prints are a visual equivalent to toned gelatin silver, fiberbase papers from the traditional wet darkroom. That's an assertion that needs to be demonstrated. We were skeptics at first, so we understand that you might be, too. Here is an opportunity to see — and judge — for yourself.

The current set of three sample prints are:

Boulder & Tarn printed on Harman by Hahnemuhle Glossy Baryta
(A heavy weight glossy paper; from an Epson 4880 printer using K3 Photo Black ink, Epson Advanced B/W mode, a warm-toned print on bright white paper)

Fog & Tree printed on Moab Entrada Rag Bright 190
(This is the matte paper Brooks uses in his chapbooks, a lighter weight, foldable paper that can be printed on both sides; from an Epson 4880 printer using K3 Matte Black ink, Epson Advanced B/W mode, a warm-toned print on a bright white paper)

Fort Worden Abstract #285 printed on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308
(A heavier weight matte paper, from an Epson 4880, using K3 Matte Black ink, a full color image using Epson Standard color profile)

These sample prints are approx. 7x9" images on 8x10½" paper.
