This project came into being as a result of my search for solitude. I promised myself that I would go out once a week to one of the many beautiful and quiet spaces and just stand and listen. I would then record just one image of that experience. I am fortunate to live in an area where fog and water dominate, yet because of the flow of life it is less likely to lead to mere melancholy. Fog is a great simplifier. Complexity — a close relative of noise — is surely tamed in a fog-shrouded world.
