Now accepting submissions for Image Suites in LensWork and LensWork Extended!Image Suites are smaller projects of 5-9 images, in the spirit of Seeing in SIXES but with more flexibility in the image count. We like these submissions to include 10-15 images so we have some flexibility in facing pairs, but you need only send in 5-9 images if that is your finished project. Published Image Suites are limited to 9 images.View our Submissions Guidelines Posting date: 9 Dec 2020 |

John CustodioExhibition: On the Road: StructuresDecember 4 - 27 Once or twice a year I take to the road on long trips across the country, looking for interesting landscapes to photograph. In my travels I’ve noticed and photographed what, for want of a better term, could be called “structures” — lone buildings, towers, monuments, objects, remains of dwellings — isolated within the landscape. Carl BattreallNew website/blog with new work“A single lens is a minimalist philosophy using simplicity to awaken the creative spirit. It is a rebellion, a rejection of what photography has become. It is image making with intention, a single black and white print being the final goal. It is a return to my roots as a photographer.” Please have a look and consider subscribing www.asinglelens.comPosting date: 29 Oct 2020 |

LensWork #148 is now shipping!Hoorah! Celebrate! At long last, LensWork #148 has been printed, bound, and is at the mailing house — soon to be on its way to all subscribers this week! Many of you are aware — through Facebook and our emails — that we ran into a serious COVID obstacle with this issue. The Canadian border is closed — which prevented Brooks from going to Hemlock Printers in Vancouver BC to oversee the printing. After numerous back and forth FedEx shipments, the proofs were finally approved and we are back on schedule! A Change of Date DesignationPrior to the COVID delay, LensWork #148 was the "June" issue and would have been mailed in early May. Because of the delays however, we've marked #148 as the "August" issue. Of course, this doesn't change the number of issues you will receive on your remaining subscription, but it does put us back on our bimonthly schedule. The next issue (#149 - the "October" issue) will be mailed in early September. We are not anticipating any other delays now that we have a new workflow with our printer that accommodates the border issues. Thanks, everyone, for your patience during this delay. LensWork #148The preview of LensWork #148 available here.We have completed LensWork #148. It's a great looking issue! We wish we could get it printed, but our Canadian printer is in lockdown mode like everyone else. We would normally be mailing this week, but things are delayed due to the virus lockdowns everywhere.
